For all of you fashion junkies out there, you may have missed the Country Music Awards which aired on November 13th. Lucky for you, I have compiled the ten best red carpet looks from this year’s show.
Starting off, nothing is cuter than rocking the red carpet as a family, shown by P!NK and Thomas Rhett. Both of the families arrived looking very put together and I can assure one thing, the children definitely stole the show.
LANCO made their mark on the men’s fashion industry as well, adorned with mismatched, yet cohesive suits with plaid, stripes, and snakeskin prints.
Maren Morris, who announced her pregnancy just last month, served as a definition of the “pregnancy glow” a majority of expecting mothers experience. Ironically enough, she arrived in a beautiful two-piece ball gown that was baby blue, possibly hinting at the fact she is expecting a boy.
Halsey, known for her modern pop anthems, made her CMA debut in a gorgeous off-the-shoulder, long sleeved chiffon ball gown covered in light pink roses complete with black lace detailing across the neckline.
Sleek yet sexy, Kelsea Ballerini showed off a crystalized aztec patterned, suede crop top along with a matching floor-length skirt which showed off just enough leg. Kacey Musgraves, a queen of the country music industry, arrived in a pastel yellow long sleeved dress adorned with feathers, glitter, polka dots, you name it; In my mind earning the award for most unique look.
Two artists that blurred the gender barriers of fashion at this year’s show were Lil Nas X and Jennifer Nettles. Lil Nas X, a recent breakthrough artist of the industry, took a twist on the typical cowboy image with patent leather pants and crystal-embellished cowboy boots, matching the crystal fringe detailing on his top. For Jennifer Nettles, not only did she break a gender barrier with her bell-bottomed pantsuit complete with a skirt attached to the back, but she also addressed the controversial topic of women in the country music scene not getting enough radio play. Definitely turning heads, the inside of her ball gown styled skirt read “Play our f*@#!n records, please & thank you.”
To top off this CMA red carpet review, I had to include one of the gorgeous hosts, Carrie Underwood. Although she had numerous outfit changes throughout the show, her red carpet look remains superior. Her see-through, bronze damask printed, floor length bodycon gown was absolutely stunning. We cannot forget about the toned down light blue cape that extended from the back of her neck, giving the host the most fabulous superman vibe I have ever seen.
